Pharmaceutical Vacuum Transfer System typically use side-channel blowers or rotary lobe compressors to generate the under pressure needed to convey the material.The material can be fed either directly into the conveyor pipe or using a special feeding device, such as a screw conveyor or closed feeder. The mixture of the material being conveyed and air is pushed and/or pulled through the conveyor pipes to a suction tank, where the transfer air is separated from the material using a filter. The material is discharged from the suction tank in a controlled manner through a closed feeder or valve. Dust-free conveying of powder: A major benefit of vacuum conveyors is the completely dust-free conveying of material, thanks to the under pressure in the conveyor pipes.Suitability: Vacuum conveyors are especially well suited for conveying distances of less than 300 metres and rather low conveying capacities (less than 10 t/h). Conveyor pipes can be placed in almost any lateral or vertical configuration, thus making it easy to install in cramped spaces. Typical applications for vacuum conveyors are systems, where powdered raw materials are being conveyed from several different points into a single suction tank.
